TechCrunch Stats W.1 – Why Mike Arrington is popular

Here’s the chart showing No. of Posts by the different Bloggers from TechCrunch:

(Aside: ‘Others’, ofcourse, included 6 (”SIX!”) whole posts from Steve Gillmor that I haven’t been able to make the slightest sense of. There were actually 41 bloggers who had contributed atleast one article, with 13 writing just a single guest post)

Now, here’s the Top Commentors graph I “should” have shown off yesterday, but didn’t:

Notice anything (besides Steve Gillmor being at Rank 1663 with just 18 comments :P) here? Note the Black Bars – Micheal Arrington had to work pretty darn hard to get TechCrunch to where it is. He has twice the number of posts as the next one (Duncan Riley), and twice the number of comments as the next commentator. And the behind the scenes effort is unthinkably big too…

Whatever you think of him, he’s a pretty hardworking chap, no? Maybe, that’s why TechCrunch is popular? I guess working your ass off is guaranteed to produce results, whatever your field maybe :)
