Wordle: What Tweets mentioning Obama Talk about
Obama makes me jealous of Americans. Please go read a few posts on India Uncut to see why.
So, here is the Wordle of all the words used in the last 1,500 tweets containing the word Obama. I removed the words “Barack” and “President” to give a clearer picture:
I’m not American, and know zilch about American politics, so won’t say anything. Quite an illuminationg one, I’d say.
P.S: Suggestions for other Twitter Search Wordles welcome
Who talks What to Mona on Twitter
Starting off another series of Wordles and starting off again with Mona
As you should have guessed from the Title, this time I am going to analyse replies to Mona – to be more precise, tweets containing either @mona or @monaaa (she changed her twitter handle recently). I could only take the last 1,500 replies, since that is the limit Twitter Search allows me (anyone know anyway I could extend this to go farther back?)
Wordle
Here is the wordle:
Lots of Retweets (126 of them), quite a few bacon tweets (71 of them), 49 Thanks tweets, 85 like tweets & 42 tweets about the iPhone
People who Tweet to her
And here is the list of the top 10 people who have replied to her:
| Rank | Author | Tweets |
| 1 | dcfemella | 41 |
| 2 | Live4Soccer | 28 |
| 3 | koltregaskes | 22 |
| 4 | mathewballard | 22 |
| 5 | JavaJunky | 21 |
| 6 | daihard | 21 |
| 7 | louisgray | 21 |
| 8 | OGbigMoneyMIKE | 20 |
| 9 | iHadron | 19 |
| 10 | thePuck | 17 |
The last 1,500 replies to her were from 492 people, so quite a lot of people do talk to her
And as usual, here is the Zoho Sheet with the full list: HTML Version | AJAXy Version.
I was about to put a neat little visualization here with the profile pics of all those people who tweeted to her, but I’ve got semester exams coming up (Sorry Mona)
So, I’’m going to put The Statbot on autopilot for 10 days, and come back after that to tackle the visualization. Don’t worry – I’ve recorded enough posts to go live when I’m gone, and I will still reply to email/comments
Oh, and I am working on some more extensions to the site – Some rather big, and hopefully the first of many-to-come extensions. Will go live on Feb 9th – and will preview to a few people before that.
Twitter Wordle: Duncan Riley
Duncan Riley is best known to me as the aussie who doesn’t talk much Cricket – atleast not from where I can see
He writes for the Inquisitr, and had written for quite a few other well known blogazines before.
Here’s the wordle of his last 3000 tweets:
Twitter favorites “Just” and “now” make a comeback, along with back, like, good, know, think, time, Great, last, well and thx. Notice that Cricket is nowhere to be found.
iPhone, Twitter, Techmeme, FriendFeed, Google, even Inquisitr appear pretty small. Wassup with that, Duncan?
Twitter Wordle: Steve Rubel
Extraordinary PR Guy –> Steve Rubel. Need I say more?
Here’s the wordle of his last 3000 tweets:
![]()
Google figures big – so does Twitter, FriendFeed (his FriendFeed account) and iPhone. While the ever favorite ‘just’ makes a smaller-than-usual appearance, ‘now’ is nowhere to be seen. Also, note that most of his tweets are automated ones from FriendFeed and blog postings, and so many tweets will be just the titles of Blog posts.
(P.S. This Wordle is here courtesy of Mona’s request
)
Twitter Wordle: Robert Scoble
Needs no introduction, I guess. Robert Scoble, rumored to be a nascent version of the borg with a drone dedicated to every site.
Here’s the wordle of his last 3000 tweets:
“Just” and “now” make an appearance (as they seem to be doing in almost every major web 2.0ish person’s tweets), and then there’s the meta stuff - “Twitter” and “FriendFeed”. “People”, “Video”, and “going” are pretty big too, so lots of tweets about people he’s going to interview
China gets a visible mention due to his longish trip there (and since I’m considering only the last 3000 tweets). “See”, “Obama”, “right”, “cool”, “like”, “love”, “Great”, “New”, “blog”, “iPhone”, “Nokia” also get mentioned.
And no, don’t worry – The Statbot is not becoming Wordle-only
Stay tuned for more stuff
